  6.     Introduction
  7.     ------------
  8.     FFDC is a full 32 bit right click menu enhancement. 
  9. It gives you easy way to create, view and keep information 
  10. about WIndows'95/98 and Windows NT4 folders and files, ZIP 
  11. and RAR archives, WWW HTM/HTML pages using 4DOS comptible file 
  12. format Descript.ion, Dirinfo, File_id.diz, to view file version 
  13. data and to change file attributes.

  22. 1.Reboot
  23. 2.Uninstall previous version of FFDC (if it exists)
  24. 3.Run Set_ffdc.exe
  25.  
  26.     Description
  27.     -----------
  28.     If you click right mouse button on folder or file name 
  29. in Explorer or other Windows'95/98 shell you'll see in menu 
  30. 'File/Folder Description' item. Choose it and FFDC window will 
  31. open and it will display file description from file with descriptions.
  32.     Also FFDC looks for description inside ZIP and RAR
  33. archives and if it presents FFDC displays it.
  34.     All descriptions FFDC keeps in separate database. So if you
  35. will copy or move file to another location FFDC displays his 
  36. description. If you'll locate database at the network drive you can use 
  37. it from any PC connected to the network.
  38.     FFDC can create a list of all description files on your PC or in
  39. FFDC database. 
  40.     For more detail help press F1 when FFDC active.
  41.     By default description filename is 'Descript.ion', but you 
  42. can change it to any or add another filenames (File_id.diz, Files.bbs, etc.)
  43.  This is FFDC description file format (choose it from Properties window):

  45. Example:
  46. FFDC.dll program that helps you to view and store information about folders and files inside folders
  47. Readme.txt This file
  48.  Another description file format is:
  49. "<Filename with extension>" <file description>
  50. Example:
  51. "Readme.txt" This file
  52.     You can make this file using internal FFDC editor or any 
  53. text editor (like Notepad, Wordpad) and place it inside chosen 
  54. folder.

  58. 1.Reboot
  59. 2.From Start menu select Settings, then Control Panel,
  60. then Add/Remove Programs
  61. 3.Select the "File/Folder Description Center" entry
  62. 4.Click the Add/Remove button

  64.     Registration

  66.     FFDC is distributed as Commercial Demo. You may use it for 14 days. 
  67. If after 14 days you would like to continue using it, then you should 
  68. purchase a license.
  69.     You can select one of the following ways to register:
  70. 1. Via a SECURE SERVER at address in 'Register.url'
  71. (double click on file 'Register.url' in directory where you install 
  72. program or click button Register On-Line on the About window).

  74. 2.By voice or fax as an alternative to on-line ordering. US customers can 
  75. call toll-free at 1-888-REG-IT-80 to place an order by voice;
